Plumb Architecture LLC expanded services to include Chattanooga, Tennessee in the summer of 2019. This is our “home office”, allowing for direct contact with the design and project teams – AND our clients. Our Austin office is operating in a fully virtual capacity for the time being. We are available for online consultations and A La Carte Services with a focus primarily on residential design.
We are currently licensed in Tennessee, Georgia, and Texas. We hold a certificate with the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) which allows us to procure additional architectural licenses in additional states through a process called comity. However, not all project types require an architect’s license. If you are out of state but are still interested in working with Plumb Architecture, we may work as a design consultant or residential designer if it is deemed that reciprocity in your specific state is an unnecessary hurdle.
Currently accepting all project types. We offer boutique services with bespoke designs as well as stock plans for shovel ready projects. We tailor our scope of services to find a package that is affordable for you and your family.

Denise is Founder and Principal Architect of Plumb Architecture, LLC. She has worked in the architectural field since 1994. In this time she has gained a wide array of experience on various project types – from a high-rise office tower and performing arts centers to high-end dental offices and custom residential designs. Each project type presents different challenges and discoveries to be made.
Denise is a mother, nature lover, and athlete. She and her family made the move to Chattanooga in the summer of 2019. Most afternoons and weekends she can be found exploring local trails by bike or by foot. With so many mountains, streams, and valleys minutes outside her front door, she and her family spend as much time as possible out of doors.
Denise believes in giving back to the community. She is a Director with the Chattanooga Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIA) and serves on the City of Chattanooga Form Based Code Committee. She has served as Committee Chair on committees with the American Institute of Architects in Austin and the U.S. Green Building Council Central Texas – Balcones Chapter. She is currently serving as a Den Leader for her daughter’s Cub Scout Pack and is also working on her Tennessee Naturalist Program credentials.
